A new geometric abstract painting using a sequence of primary and secondary colours.
I am inspired by mid-century colour field painting, retro design and mathematics.
The difficulty with these works is finding a balance between form and colour without just creating a pattern. Even the painting doesn't literally depict a subject, I find myself thinking of landscapes whilst creating these works.
The painting is on canvas stretched over plywood, the work comes ready to hang with a handmade frame and wire on the back.
The frame is handcrafted by myself, I have treated the frame with a chalk white finish to contrast with the colours of the painting.
I hope you enjoy this piece. Thanks!
