Artwork Description

Thanks for viewing one of my original abstract works.
This piece uses a limited palette of retro inspired colours to create a visually striking image.
The geometric pattern and modulating colour creates a sense of movement for the eye.
The work is painted with professional quality materials on cotton canvas.
The painting is stretched on a wooden frame and is ready to hang.
The edges of the piece are painted so framing is not necessary.
But if you prefer excellent frame options are available via Bluethumb.

Artist Bio

I am a visual artist based in Hobart, Tasmania, I trained at the Tasmanian School of Art, earning a Master of Fine Art and Design in 2002. I have won numerous awards and exhibited widely in Australia and overseas.
My professional experience includes a number of artist residencies including at the Cite' Internationale des Arts in Paris.
I have worked in a range of media including sculpture, photography and painting. My current interest is in abstract and non-representational art, particularly geometrical abstraction.
I am inspired by the natural world and my everyday experience, though my works are not direct representations of "things" they are stimulated by my surroundings.
