Artwork Description

Family history is the inspiration. the work was inspired by my family's presence on the canefiels in North Queensland last century.

Artist Bio

I am an Australian artist whose practice is grounded in drawing, illusion, and narrative. I employ anthropomorphic figures and suggestive ways of working to create dream-like narratives.
For more than seventeen years, I have worked across pavement art, 3-D anamorphic installation, mural painting and comics. I engage different artistic mediums to explore how personal and collective memories shape the ways we see ourselves in the world.

Born in Brisbane in 1973, Anton attained his postgraduate degree in painting in 2014 at Sydney University, and an Undergraduate degree in Painting at the Australian National University. He is represented in private collections in Korea, Italy, Singapore and the US.
