Antonio was born in Abruzzo, Italy and arrived in Australia in 1961. In his younger years he immigrated to Venezuela and spent a few years there with not much luck. At the age of 30 he went back to Italy marrying his wife and eventually joining his family in Melbourne. Incredibly, only at the age of 89 during retirement in Docklands and the boredom of Covid lock-downs he decided to start painting. His, mostly, realistic paintings are inspired by the Victorian, and Melbourne urban regions as well as famous places of Italy, depicting unique landscapes and urbanscapes. At the time of writing he is 94 years old, and his eyes are deteriorating so much which sadly led him to stop.
