Artist Bio

Arina Apostolova is from beautiful old city Odessa, Ukraine. When the war in Ukraine is begun Arina decided to move to Australia, so currently she is based in Australia, traveling around and collecting inspirations from the environment here. Her interest in art started from the graduation at architect academy in 2007 where she learnt academic drawing and basic painting techniques, refining the knowledge in color theory, perspective and composition.

As a professional full time artist Arina started relatively recently, basically from the big art project named “Sacred Geometry” which was successfully displayed at the local exhibition by UNION- architect studio in Shanghai in April 2021.

Arina typically works and keeps exploring the oil paints on the canvases of various sizes. Within her own body of work, she classifies the typy of paintings as "Composite Realism", because they involve elements of intense realism combined with abstract patterns and surrealistic dream-like scenes and symbolic images.
