Dotty Skull

A friend asked me to paint some skulls for her shop and I wanted to do something a little different... so I did this one in a dotty (sort of pointillism) style with a multitude of vibrant colours. "Dotty Skull" is painted in acrylics and finished in gloss varnish. Skulls are so popular at the moment and "Dotty Skull" would fit in with any colour scheme as it has just about every colour you could imagine. It was so tedious and time-consuming that I doubt I'll ever try this style again... so it's a one-and-only! :)

I have spent my life close to the beach and nature, so it's natural that my artwork has been inspired by the ocean and the colours of nature. I love colour! As I'm sure you'll notice in my paintings. It makes me feel alive and vibrant and I hope it has the same effect on you! :)

My childhood years were spent drawing - I won an art competition at the age of four. I have been creating art - painting, mosaics, ceramics - for most of my life. I'm mostly self-taught, but have done numerous private courses in just about every art form.

I had my own fashion label for some time after studying Fashion Design, but now that my kids are grown up I've focused on painting again (my true passion).
