Artwork Description

Home made circular loom, macrame weave with a variety of wool and cotton cord. Artwork is inspired from the south Fremantle Old Powerstation. Colours created from my imagination from how it might look inside. It’s been abandoned since 1984 - artist and wanna be artist have painted their little mark, however because of security reasons now closed to public. The artwork are created from wool and cotton stretched on a circular homemade loom

Artist Bio

I am a visual artist. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 Major in painting and Minor in Drawing/graphic Design. I like to create, like to play with colour and design. I create acrylic paintings, fluid art, resin art, and creative photography. I started a photography course at Murdoch in 2018. Currently I create handmade 98 cm circular weaving/macrame art pieces inspired from the Old South Fremantle Art-Deco style power-station. I am the sole owner and visual Artist of Artidigallery. . I am inspired by nature, Seascape, peculiar things I discover on my hikes. Wildflowers. Colour and design are a great part of my creation. Over Covid lock-down, I had to stop working in fluid and resin art as I now work from home. I got into learning Macrame, some of my short courses involved circular shapes with weaving and macrame. I liked that method and are currently creating a series of 24 circular 98 cm handmade looms macrame - weaving. I love playing when creating art, colour play and design plays a big role.
