Artwork Description

Bamboo ring created as a handmade object final weave. Yarn different variations is weaved or macrame. Idea taken from the old Power station in North Coogee. Currently not used and not open for public. However public and artist has work their way around the building and outside building.setting their footprint. The different colours influenced by the public painters/graffiti and the hire and black are symbolic for the artdeco building. Mostly circular line different size shapes, that mostly because of chosen material. This Old Power station series are done. I am unable to get the rattan bamboo rings and some of the wool yarn.
Therefore new work coming soo - will be partly painting and will also be working on the macrame weave but will try the copper method that other artist har been successful with.

Artist Bio

I am a visual artist. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2001 Major in painting and Minor in Drawing/graphic Design. I like to create, like to play with colour and design. I create acrylic paintings, fluid art, resin art, and creative photography. I started a photography course at Murdoch in 2018. Currently I create handmade 98 cm circular weaving/macrame art pieces inspired from the Old South Fremantle Art-Deco style power-station. I am the sole owner and visual Artist of Artidigallery. . I am inspired by nature, Seascape, peculiar things I discover on my hikes. Wildflowers. Colour and design are a great part of my creation. Over Covid lock-down, I had to stop working in fluid and resin art as I now work from home. I got into learning Macrame, some of my short courses involved circular shapes with weaving and macrame. I liked that method and are currently creating a series of 24 circular 98 cm handmade looms macrame - weaving. I love playing when creating art, colour play and design plays a big role.
