ABOUT THE ARTIST "TE" :
Basically I'm just an Aussie Boy, an adventurer for what's new and old, a traveller of some 42 countries in search, a seeker in the bush and a passionate for living things.
A reflection in my early years, is when I discovered my creativity in Kindergarten, where I remember recreating a 8 foot version of the Titanic and the usual childhood, I was building lego cities and cubby houses in two story trees, which led to my preadolescence where I spent hours and days designing resort floor plans, some spread out across our lounge room floor and based on memories from travel and images of places like the Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas and Hayman Island in Far North Queensland, to my early teens where I was designing elaborate sketches of clothings, dresses, hats, jeans, tops and hispster etc and in my later teens I was obsessed with writing documents and designing computer programmes.
Whilst my professional career has also seen myself to have worn a few hats in my life til now, from commencing work around the age of 13 years as a young, keen and bright eyed kitchen hand working amongst leading chefs in Adelaide restaurants, where I developed my skills and creativity to become a very young executive chef of a leading Adelaide restaurant at the age of 20 years and then a few years later as a two time Restauranteur in Adelaide's East End Food & Art Scene.
During these early experiences I noticed that I was still in search of something more, which led me back to further study and on to managing a Soy Based Food Manufacturer whilst working with organisations, state and federal government agencies in Food Safety standards, Food Safety Systems and Quality Assurance programmes, which led me taking on roles like Food Scientist United States DOD Afghanistan & Middle East to Mining General Manager in Australia & PNG and til now, Artistic Creator, Designer and Art Gallery Owner and Exhibitor.
So thank you for ingurgitating a reflection on my life happenings at my Darwin Art Gallery, Top End Art.
