The rain was falling outside when I was painting and I tried to put the rain effect into the flowers.
I paint in a modern contemporary style and try to capture the movement in the subject with fluid brush strokes. The moody, brooding atmosphere that comes with using dusty colours help make the paintings not about the subject matter but about the evocative feelings.
