Toowoomba Gardens

The gardens at Toowoomba are full of evocative shapes and moods and lend themselves to multiple interpretations. I chose a Modern Contemporary approach and tried to capture the mood of the elements.

I paint in a modern contemporary style and try to capture the movement in the subject with fluid brush strokes. The moody, brooding atmosphere that comes with using dusty colours help make the paintings not about the subject matter but about the evocative feelings.
