The second artwork in a four piece collection about the beauty of different cultures. SOAR. Orenji is the Japanese translation for the colour Orange. This colour can be considered Japans national colour, usually associated with orange Nishikigoi (koi fish or Japanese carp). I wanted to show the beauty of a traditional Japanese performing artist known as a Geisha. Her hair is styled in a traditional style called, Nihongami, and she wears a hikizuri also known as susohiki or kimono.
