Artwork Description

The first artwork in a four piece collection about the beauty of different cultures. SOAR.
Sona is a female name of Indian origin meaning Gold. India is known for their love of Gold and can be considered their national colour. I wanted to show the beauty of a traditional Indian woman wearing a ghoonghat (head scarf) and a jewelled bindi.
(Please contact me if you are interested in purchasing the collection as a whole)

Artist Bio

Ever since I was a little girl drawing has been a way for me to communicate. First starting out with stick figures to now creating hyper realistic portraits. Over the course of my schooling I have dabbled in a vast array of mediums, leading me to favor graphite/charcoal and water colour. My art consists of showing the natural beauty of my subject, keeping my meaning short and simple.

Less is more.
