The ferocious heat in the desert summer sun has to be experienced to be believed! From my memory of my many trips to the gold fields during the hot summer weeks has influenced this piece. The heat dancing like a haze on the horizon, with the sand too hot to walk on barefoot and my dog was running from shady area to another. The roads were equally hot with the tarmac slightly melting under the relentless sun! But the beauty of the colours were my bonus!

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
I am of Thai and Norwegian blood, and in the past have lived in Asia (Bangkok, Singapore, Penang, Bali) and in Australia. I am inspired by nature and the landscape. My paintings seem to vacillate between the semi abstract and abstract with moments of irregularity and chance that occurs within my random process. I really enjoy pushing the boundaries of media and technique. Each painting evolves slowly as I sometimes have 7-8 layers between start to finish. I embrace the poetry of life and land while bringing in the essence of the spiritual world. Each work evolves of its own accord as meaning and paint combine.
