I was inspired by Zen Buddhism in where they say that in something small and unassuming you can see the whole universe. IE. a Flower or raindrop etc. I am inspired by alternative religions and beliefs as they are intuitive. I have kept the colours muted to unify with the parts of some woodcuts ( that I have incorporated into the design) that I did many years ago for my son's book on Life Poetry. I think this piece can be put into any room and could be a talking piece as well as having a calming effect.

Artist Bio
I am of Thai and Norwegian blood, and in the past have lived in Asia (Bangkok, Singapore, Penang, Bali) and in Australia. I am inspired by nature and the landscape. My paintings seem to vacillate between the semi abstract and abstract with moments of irregularity and chance that occurs within my random process. I really enjoy pushing the boundaries of media and technique. Each painting evolves slowly as I sometimes have 7-8 layers between start to finish. I embrace the poetry of life and land while bringing in the essence of the spiritual world. Each work evolves of its own accord as meaning and paint combine.
