I find myself, returning more and more to my references of the great salt lakes in and around Lake Deborah in the Western Australian semi desert country. The absolute silence and the feeling of remoteness is very calming. I have spent many camping trips staying on the edges of the salt lakes just absorbing the atmosphere of serenity but harshness of the environment. Extreme heat, lack of shade with the occasional flooding from periodical cyclones. However its beauty is fierce, rugged and totally addictive.
