Hi, I’m Atoosa Shokoohi, the artist behind Atoosa Studio.
I’m an Australian-Iranian visual artist, and my work is deeply influenced by my journey as a woman—growing up between cultures, carrying inspiration from my cultural roots, and always seeing the world with a curious, thoughtful eye. I’ve always been drawn to beauty in the everyday—how light changes a room, how color can hold memory, and how a moment can be both soft and strong at the same time.
My art blends different styles—mainly impressionist and abstract—and I love working across acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Each medium helps me express something unique. Acrylics let me move fast and stay in the energy of the moment, oils bring depth and atmosphere, and watercolors allow for a delicate flow that sometimes feels like memory itself.
A big part of what drives me is emotion. I want people to feel something when they look at my work—whether that’s nostalgia, stillness, curiosity, or just a sense of connection. For me, painting is a way to process life, and every piece carries a part of that emotional journey. I often explore themes like femininity, nature, identity, and the quiet power of being present.
Being a female artist matters to me. It shapes how I see the world and how I express myself. I think there’s something really powerful about embracing softness and strength in the same breath—and that’s something I try to bring into my work.
Through Atoosa Studio, I hope to create more than just beautiful art—I want to create meaningful moments, personal reflections, and pieces that stay with you.
