Evanesce

This artwork was inspired by the textures and tranquil movements of wisps of smoke dispersing in the wind, with a colour palette of black and white, as well as metallic rose gold and gold acrylics. The textures are carefully crafted using silicone oil and a blowtorch, as well as the natural flow of the paint along the canvas. This artwork is comprised of three separate stretched canvases (each 30.5 x 61 x 1.5 cm) with a total size of 61 x 91.5cm.

My art draws inspiration from themes of aquatic ecosystems, geology, landscapes and night skies, aiming to capture their dynamic nature and texture through the movement created by fluid acrylics. Every piece is entirely unique, with features determined by harnessing the natural flow of the paint as well as the interactions between paints, oil and a blowtorch.
