Artwork Description

This piece is a reflection of my own personal experience having grown up with an absent parent. The abandoned end of the tin-can telephone line signifies the constant feeling that something is missing in life, stemming from a lack of familial connection, while the childs expression illustrates the feeling of guilt that exists simultaneously; the guilt for having a subconscious desire for the absent, whilst one parent is still present and actively trying to support you through life.
