Artwork Description

This artwork was inspired by my recently travels to Lake Como, Italy. The tranquillity of the soft waves on the pristine blue water was impossible not to capture. 'Tranquil Tide' is calming not only to observe but also to touch. The foaming white waves and clear blue water will lift any room and has the same effect as listening to waves through a seashell.

Artist Bio

I love art!! Mixing it, admiring it, touching it, creating it. Art is the best gift I've ever given myself and now I want to gift it to you. Every artwork carries an emotion and there is a piece of my heart in every piece.

Growing up, I always loved art, it was my favourite subject in school. In every subject and all my free time, I always felt myself drifting off into a land of imagination, a land where paint and canvas met and created beautiful things. When I left school and pursued my career in Finance, a part of me always felt like something was missing. However, my art journey took a back seat and I moved along with the everyday 'rise and grind'. It wasn't until COVID lockdown, when I gave myself the chance to stop and really think about what I wanted to do with my time. While looking inward and thinking about my mental health, I picked up a paintbrush and let it flow.

Why textured art? When I began my art journey, I put a lot of pressure on myself to do it perfectly. Textured art, however, is perpetually imperfect. That's why I love it. Every line, groove, peak and edge is exactly the way it is meant to be, perfectly imperfect.

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect my art to be loved across the world, and now I can't imagine my life without it. I love using texture to create artworks that depict nature scenes and abstract flows. Everyday I feel inspired to create something new with texture and I can't wait for you to feel that imagination and curiosity through the artwork in your homes too.
