I enjoy painting the ordinary scenes I see when I walk in different ways. The dramatic shadows reaching across the road are like tentacles in the early morning light.
Painting and drawing since I can remember, I went to Art School in the 70s and trained to become an art teacher. Never teaching full time I have spent the last 40 odd years dabbling in all sorts of art, building my women’s shed and generally making any colourful art in it that took my fancy (when time and the seasons permitted). Retiring to Toowoomba 12 months ago I have found a wonderful group of fellow painters who inspire me to keep creating and I am finding art therapeutic. I spend many a happy hour with a paintbrush in my hand.
