I have always been drawn to traditional and classical art styles, and when I did a Life Drawing workshop with a nude model, I knew what I wanted to master. The human form is the ultimate in beauty and design, and the greatest challenge for an artist to capture on canvas. Harmonious colours which express a mood are also important to me, and in this work I wanted to express the quiet and dark atmosphere of solitude.
