Namaqua Dreaming 1

For a few weeks from August to October the arid region of Namaqualand South Africa is transformed into a bewitching landscape of dazzling colour by the arrival of the spring flowers. From the horizon to your feet a myriad of different flowers turn their faces to the sun as the desert blooms.

My art is about capturing impressions of my experience of life.
Like screenshots, a glance while traveling or an image remembered. I use colour and texture to share these experiences with my audience.

My inspiration is the world of painting and life. My desire is to produce paintings that are true to my experience and the impressions that linger in my memory.

I am happy using paint straight from the tube and applying it with pallet knife or brush or combinations of both.

My art is my celebration of all that is good and meaningful and beautiful in this world.
