Artist Bio

For many years a 'closet painter' but it's time to come out.

I had been working on the creative side of the television industry as a writer and director for many years (no, decades.) But while being a creative in television was fulfilling it was by its very nature a collaborative effort, unlike painting. For the past ten years I have been a hobby painter giving my work away to friends and relatives. But now I have decided to get serious. As a painter I realise there is no-where to hide, no one else to blame, and it is now time to make the leap and come face to face with my audience. My greatest wish is that my paintings will give as much pleasure to others as they gave to me while I was working on them.

I have studied under two major Melbourne impressionistic painting instructors and have adapted, copied, modified, converted and personalised what I perceived to be their best bits. Thanks Peter Smales and David Moore.
