This small oil painting was done at a time when I was obsessed with studying the work of Pierre-Auguste Renoir. His painting titled Confidences was painted in 1878, and I was inspired to paint my own interpretation of two young women in close conversation in a similar setting. Itβs a beautiful classic work, and would enhance a living room or bedroom as a single artwork, or in a grouping of small works. It is simply framed in a modern light timber frame, with gold finish, but would look even more stunning in a decorative frame from the late nineteenth century period.
