This is a large modern landscape painting with butterflies, wildflowers and grass in vibrant colours of blue, mauve, yellow and green.
In this series of idyllic nature paintings I am trying to create a peaceful calm setting while at the same time producing a colourful painting that will brighten any room. The depiction is of nature at it's best devoid of human influence and the inclusion of butterflies gives a sense of capturing a fleeting moment in time.
The Painting is on plywood which is backed with a timber support frame made with professional quality joinery.
Only artist quality acrylic paints are used and ink is light-fast Indian ink. The board is first sealed front and back and the sides are painted black. The painting is finished with layers of protective polymer gloss varnish followed by a UV conservation (resin based) varnish. Heavy duty "D" rings and cord are attached so that the painting is ready to hang. A signed certificate of authenticity is included.
