Artwork Description

Rococo Abstract is a large abstract expressionist painting with multiple layers of textured paint in vivid colours of blue, pink, green and yellow. Thousands of impasto marks of paint are used on this contemporary painting so that the painting appears dynamic as light reflects off a multitude of different surfaces; the intention is to give a feeling of energy and movement. My mantra for these paintings is: “let there be light and colour.”
I have used the Lush colours common in the Rococo period and also used in abstract paintings by British artist Flora Yukhnovich.
The painting is on a plywood panel which is backed with a timber support frame made with professional quality joinery.
Only professional artist acrylic paints are used. The board is first sealed front and back and the painting is finished with layers of protective polymer varnish. Heavy duty "D" rings and cord are attached so that the painting is ready to hang. A signed certificate of authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Welcome to my world of paint, colour and experiment. I paint because I love paint, colour, texture and the act of creating; but what really makes my day is my art being appreciated by others - thank you for viewing.
