Welcome to the 'Sanctuary Collection' A collection of butterflies artworks that universally symbolize rebirth, hope, bravery, comfort, positivity and freedom.
Using a palette knife and generous amounts of oil paint, I have created thick layers of patterns depicting butterfly wings. The distinct patterns create brightness and liveliness. The background colour is in earthy tones of light Sienna mixed with white and grey. The wings are a bright palette of blues and turquoise greens surrounded by many shades of brown.
APATURINA is sealed with a protective gloss varnish,

I hope you find a connection to these beautiful insects that i have created.

Thank you for visiting my collection.
