Welcome to the 'Sanctuary Collection' A collection of butterflies artworks that universally symbolize rebirth, hope, bravery, comfort, positivity and freedom.
Using a palette knife and generous amounts of oil paint, I have created thick layers of patterns depicting butterfly wings. The distinct patterns create brightness and liveliness. The background colour is light grey mixed with white and beige. The wings are a neutral palette of whites, tones of earthy brown, beige and grey.
PAPILIO # 2 is sealed with a protective gloss varnish,
