Inspired by the Red Tailed Black Cockatoo of Western Australia, my home. The sun shines off of their black feathers like a prism and the reds in the tail feathers are so striking. The Background was covered in gold leaf and then distressed down with acrylic paint. The Cockatoo is then painted on to the gold leaf with acrylic
