This painting began as a floral abstract, but as I layered movement and color, it evolved into something much more personal—a healing process. After a traumatic year in which my family lost our home to a freak tornado, every brushstroke felt like it lightened the weight I carried. I knew the painting was complete when I felt a sense of peace.
The bird shapes emerged unexpectedly, almost as if they found their way into the painting on their own. To me, they symbolize freedom and hope, mirroring the calm I felt once the final marks were made.
This painting is coated with protective varnish and in the bottom right corner. The edges are painted, making it ready to hang as-is with a wire across the back, or you can choose to have it framed at checkout.
