This painting is a loose abstract landscape. Inspired by real and imagined landscapes from rolling hills to waterfalls and everywhere in between. I work mainly in acrylic and a variety of mixed media (oil pastels, pencil, graphite, makers) on canvas and paper and work intuitively to create my abstract pieces. Drawing inspiration from real and imagined landscapes that surround my studio in the Manning Valley and also from locations that I have seen on my travels.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
Bee Hudson is an Australian mixed media artist creating vibrant, emotive works from her studio on the beautiful Mid North Coast, NSW.
Bee’s current body of work is a deep dive into an intuitive, process driven practice, drawing inspiration from the natural landscapes around her and the rich traditions of abstract expressionism. Influenced by trailblazing women artists such as Lee Krasner, Mary Abbott, and Joan Mitchell, Bee translates thoughts and emotions into dynamic gestural brushstrokes, weaving layers of color and texture into each piece.
Working primarily with acrylics, Bee also incorporates a mix of pencil, graphite, oil pastels, and paint markers to bring depth and complexity to her abstract creations. Her art is an exploration of emotion, experience, and the interplay of spontaneity and control, offering a window into her personal perspective while inviting viewers to connect in their own way.
Bee’s work captures the spirit of curiosity and playfulness while maintaining a heartfelt connection to her surroundings and experiences - a celebration of art as both expression and exploration.
