Artwork Description

This painting is a loose abstract landscape. Inspired by real and imagined waterfalls.

Currently I am explorating of a process driven art practice with emphasis on play and experimentation. I work mainly in acrylic and a variety of mixed media (oil pastels, pencil, graphite, makers) on canvas and paper.

This work is on loose canvas and will need to be stretched at the buyers end or framed behind glass. I have painted to the edge of the loose canvas so this can be gallery wrapped around the sides. This work will be shipped in a tube (which is a safer method of shipping for large works). The current size is 110 x 99 cm while flat however when stretched it will be approximately 100 x 90 ish.

Artist Bio

Bee Hudson is an Australian mixed media artist creating vibrant, emotive works from her studio on the beautiful Mid North Coast, NSW.

Her current body of work reflects a deeply intuitive, process driven practice, exploring emotion, memory, and personal transformation. Drawing inspiration from natural landscapes and the rich traditions of abstract expressionism, Bee translates lived experience into dynamic, gestural brushstrokes, weaving layers of colour, texture, and mark making into each piece.

Working primarily in acrylics, she also incorporates pencil, graphite, oil pastels, and paint markers, embracing both spontaneity and control. Her work is raw, real, and often messy , reflecting the process of healing, reclaiming, and finding strength through art.

Bee’s creations capture a spirit of curiosity and playfulness while maintaining a heartfelt connection to experience and environment, celebrating art as both personal expression and shared exploration.

Bee is a selected artist participating in the Shared Practice program by Arts Mid North Coast.
