Rosebud pier from McCrae beach

My continued obsession with the beach. Later in the day. I strangely want to keep the sky blank in all my beach painting lately. Perhaps waiting for what will fill our future with such a broad horizon?
This is a larger studio painting from oil sketch I did on the beach in January 2022.
The light reflecting where-ever we look as we walk along the beach.
The slow constant splash on shore of the waves kissing the sand.
The pier in the background is tiny, spots of people cannot be seen, only imagined.
Lloyd Rees and Japanese ink painting are my influences and excitement when making this painting.
Original sketch painted at the foreshore reserve at McCrae on the Mornington Peninsula (not far from McCrae Lighthouse).
