Original Artwork's Description

Inner Bloom is a mixed media piece...power of the almighty ocean and its momentum is captured in a fleeting moment, never to be repeated in the same colour or light again. The wave painting is defined by the barrel formation, it's inner bloom before it tumbles, it fades, never to be seen again as it descends with its power into the vast ocean. The painted canvas is a mixed media piece, made of acrylics, texture, finished with a coat of resin to simulate the water element

Belinda was one of 100 Artists Australia wide to be selected to participate in the "Me and UooUoo: The RCH150 Anniversary Art Trail" celebrating 150 years of the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne Victoria
... bringing colour and creativity to the streets of Melbourne and Geelong with a spectacular public art trail from 20th January - 21st March 2021.

UooUoo (pronounced ‘you you’) is the newest addition to the RCH family, created by renowned Victorian artist Alexander Knox. A mythical creature, UooUoo captures the transformative spirit of the RCH and embodies 150 years of exceptional care, compassion and support by hospital staff and the community.

100 artists have been commissioned to create their own UooUoos, brining personality, colour and creativity to life. These unique UooUoos will then find homes in laneways, streets, parks and public spaces, forming two sections of a walking trail across Melbourne and Geelong.

Me and UooUoo will be an extraordinary walking experience, encouraging individuals, families and businesses to get moving and see some amazing art. After the event, the sculptures will be auctioned and take up more permanent residence with their new owners. By either sponsoring or purchasing a sculpture, individuals and corporations will contribute to this major fundraising event for the hospital, ensuring an enduring legacy for future generations

The 100 UooUoo sculptures from the RCH150 Anniversary Art Trail are now in their "forever homes" after being sold at a fundraising auction in 2021. An incredible $867,100 was raised for The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) through these sales, with the sculptures located across the state, country, and the world.
