Alone on the Mountains

I love to hike. The journey up the mountain is thrilling in itself. As you climb you see one spectacular view after another and you keep thinking you haven't seen a scene as spellbinding. But when you reach the top and everything else is below you, it is breathtaking. One feels almost alone in the world, but in a beautiful way.

There is so much beauty in nature. As a young child I remember sketching trees and marking out each individual leaf. My journey into the world of painting began as a young mother as I searched for a past time that I could focus on for a bit of needed release. It turned into so much more than that, and my family have come along with the journey. The process of watching a blank canvas grow one brush stroke at a time is mesmerizing. It has taught me to view the world in a new lens, one filled with color. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
