White gums

I love the white gums of Australia. I think it is the contrast between the blacks browns and whites that make this tree so striking. I love the way the leaves drape down the branches like curtains, and how the morning mist gives the scene a dreamy feel.

There is so much beauty in nature. As a young child I remember sketching trees and marking out each individual leaf. My journey into the world of painting began as a young mother as I searched for a past time that I could focus on for a bit of needed release. It turned into so much more than that, and my family have come along with the journey. The process of watching a blank canvas grow one brush stroke at a time is mesmerizing. It has taught me to view the world in a new lens, one filled with color. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
