Artwork Description

‘Years Gone’ is a sequel to my series ‘Pretty In Pink’ that reviews time and the ageing cycle.
‘Pretty In Pink’ uses movement and activation to explore the emotions of beginning, life and creation where ‘Years Gone’ asks you to stop and explore to observe the beauty in calm, maturity and depth in what would be described as a traditional still-life composition.

The series looks to show viewers that there is a level of beauty that can be found at any stage if one looks deep enough.

Technically the series has been shot with a shallow depth of field, providing focus in small elements of the ageing roses, giving meaning to the present with drop focus range beyond this sharp area holding notes to the past and future. Small shards of light were used to help bring out depth and also offer tribute to pinhole camera technique used in early photography methods.

Art to be provided as a print only on Canson Rag Photography Paper. The print is provided with a 5 cm border with the image 80cm x 80cm and the full paper size 90cm x 90cm
Printed to order and will leave studio for printing within 3 days, printing turnaround is normally 4 days with the artwork to be sent directly after.

Authenticity
All prints come signed with edition and soft 4.5cm authenticity emboss in the white border space. Prints additional come with a A5 authenticity card.

Artist Bio

I am an Australian contemporary art photographer with South Korean Heritage. I use my art to interpret emotions, ideas and events exposed in my life. Botanicals displayed in an activated sculptural way are regular featured within my work to conceptually represent these ideas. Layering of paint, smoke and fire are also regularly showcased.
Formally trained as a commercial photographer with strong knowledge in film and darkroom artistry I approach my work with the technique of modern commercial media.
