A festival of reflections interspersed with colour as two come together in a long drawn out dance of celebration, joy and delight. The subtle ripples add to the dance, creating movement, texture and a clear sense of rhythm.

Artist Bio
I love a good story. Every good story is an adventure. It has a narrative that paints a picture where only your imagination can take you. A good story sparks emotion, and that emotion helps you to interpret the picture. A few years ago, I took a trip to look at galleries in Italy, which resulted in an interest in art, especially Impressionism. The paintings I viewed were not as sharp as a photograph but beautiful in their own right. Seeing these impressionist paintings sparked the idea of taking pictures reflected on the surface of the river Melaka, during my last visit to Melaka, Malaysia in 2016. Many times we may interpret episodes in our lives just like we are looking at the distorted images reflected on the surface of the water. These pictures may not be the actual story as the surrounding environments changed them: like a passing boat that greatly disturbed the water or a gentle breeze that creates the ripples. If only we can see the past and not the distractions, then we can find true peace. Or we wait for the water to settle when everything is calm again, but all this takes time. Like a good story, I am currently experimenting with a style of photography that gives the photo an impression that it is a painting. With this style of impressionistic photography, I am looking to produce more work in the future at different locations around the world to 'Tell a story, one picture at a time'.
