I currently live in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I grew up on a farm in the beautiful Yarra Valley where my appreciation of nature and the elements developed into the driving force in my art. I have always enjoyed painting. I find it relaxing and like my own form of meditation. I paint with acrylics onto canvas and quite often use a combination of brush and pallet knife in my work.
I love the challenge of trying to interpret the relationships of light and colour in what we see in nature.
In recent years I have been concentrating on painting seascape with an emphasis on calming light and colours.
I tend to describe my work as Beach Art and capturing the feel of what I see and enjoy looking at the seasons in the moment.
I enjoy supporting the variety of art shows that Melbourne has to offer and currently have Gallery representation on the Mornington Peninsula.
