Artwork Description
A dystopian landscapeā dominated by two huge machinesā based on the 'Bagger 228'ā a gigantic excavator used in mining. These enormous vehicles loom above a locomotive and tiny figuresā workers in a bleak landscape.
This painting is in no way meant to be ideologicalā for or against mining and industry. I was impressed by these machines simply for their size and structureā and have created a scene around them. The feel of the painting is slightly 'steampunk' or sci-fi.
The painting is executed in sepia tones.
