The Unpopular Penguins Iβve been creating for the last few years are generally laborious to make - built up of around ten layers of paint, heavily textured. I wanted to create faster, fresher, more spontaneous works, and this is the result. Thinner layers, often transparent, on paper. Energetic and bright.
The paper is high quality, Saunders Waterford 300gm, 100% cotton, acid free. It can be framed with a mount, but ideally I think it would look best with the edges of the paper visible. Talk to your framer!
The artwork will be shipped flat, between thick boards.
Iβm looking forward to creating more works in this series, experimenting with colours, compositions and layering.
