Voyaging

Sailing a boat calls for quick action, a blending of feeling with the wind and water as well as with the very heart and soul of the boat itself. No one's life is a smooth sail; we all come into stormy weather. But it's this adversity - and more specifically our resilience - that makes us strong and successful.

I am an artist originally from Alice Springs NT who also lived in Geraldton WA and then Tasmania. Now I am based on Queenslands Sunshine Coast. I completed my Bachelor of Contemporary Arts in 2002 followed this with a Bachelor of Teaching.
I have held Exhibitions at the Train Yards Art Centre in Launceston Tasmania, The Groovy Penguin Cafe in Tasmania. I exhibited work in Honolulu Hawaii. I have also had works displayed in Galleries in Ottawa Canada and sold works for commission and by consignment.
I consider my style figurative and expressionist. I like to include inner meanings, metaphors, stories and symbolism in my paintings. The mediums I use to create mixed media paintings include acrylic, encaustic and oil. I prefer to paint on stretched canvas.
My paintings are partly planned and often improvised along the way.
