Love planted a rose

I was inspired by the first line of a poem by of Katharine Lee Bates that goes " Love planted a rose and the world turned sweet'. For me roses are linked to peace and happiness

My passion is painting and using mixed media. Through my art I express moods and ideas that can be difficult to articulate in words.
The themes that attract me are the passing of time, how layers of experience are manifested in nature and how memories intermingle.
I spend most of days in my studio enjoying the creative process.
Most of my work includes watercolours, acrylic mediums, inks and sometimes collage. Sometimes I also sue oil paints
My inspiration comes from nature, from stories that I hear, and from fragments of memories and their associations
