Radiant Season

My passion is observing the change of seasons in the landscape. This painting was inspired by a few days when I was near the beach in Victoria, and immersed in the arrival of the the glow of early summer . This is my impression of summer and the way that the landscape shimmers and reflects the arrival of the season
It is part of a series called Reconnections which started at the end of the pandemic lockdowns.

My passion is painting and using mixed media. Through my art I express moods and ideas that can be difficult to articulate in words.
The themes that attract me are the passing of time, how layers of experience are manifested in nature and how memories intermingle.
I spend most of days in my studio enjoying the creative process.
Most of my work includes watercolours, acrylic mediums, inks and sometimes collage. Sometimes I also sue oil paints
My inspiration comes from nature, from stories that I hear, and from fragments of memories and their associations
