Fire in the Sky is my Turner-esque palette/painting knife painting. I wanted to show the effects of strong bright summer light in Brisbane, Australia contrasting with the darkness of the earth.

Bernadette is a developing artist exploring a wide range of styles and mediums. She came to art later in life, completing a Postgraduate Certificate of Visual Arts while balancing her demanding professional career in management consulting and technology and raising her son. Paintings are a constant source of joy and frustration, pushing Bernadette out of her comfort zone to become the person and artist she was always meant to be.
