I paint what is around me. I paint what that in turn inspires. I explore colour, form and the spaces in between shapes. I live near the coast and often my work reflect this influence.
My preferred medium to work with is oil but I also use acrylic, collage and watercolour when the mood takes me.
My art education has been both formal and informal. Teaching painting to adults and children for many years has taught me much about my own processes as I seek to help others find joy in their own work.
I love learning more and more about art by observing , reading , listening to artists and studying their work .
My work is usually rich in colour and is more towards an impressionist style than realist.
I have exhibited in galleries, cafes, wineries and other venues.
My work is held in in collections in South Australia and across Australia
