My art is a process of responding to my history and environment.
I work with different printmaking processes to combine mark-making elements in new ways, reflecting an interest in tactile, everyday objects including words, found objects and assembly.
Works develop as I apply myself to the process, I rarely start with a specific outcome in mind: I follow the materials β and printmaking allows for many fortunate mistakes.
Increasingly my art reflects my heritage as a migrant, linguist and poet and responds to new cultural and physical landscapes.
I have worked in three different studios with inspiring teachers. I currently study visual arts at RMIT.
