Artist Bio
Betty Chan is a contemporary artist born in Hong Kong before moving to Sydney in 1996. From 2004, she was a self-taught artist from home before studying at Meadowbank TAFE in 2015. Betty won a highly commended award at the Bankstown Art Centre Exhibition in 2012, Finalist in the Sustainable Waste to Art Prize, Finalist in the 2016 Gallipoli Art Prize,Finalist in the Hunters Hill Art Prize and the Finalist in the Women,s Art Prize. She graduated with a Diploma of Visual Arts in 2016 and Advance Diploma of Visual Arts in 2017 and is currently studying for a Bachelor degree of Fine Art at the National Art school.
