Apex Predator

This piece captures the Porsche GT3 in a moment of pure momentum. I wanted to express not just the shape of the car, but the energy it creates, the blur of speed, the sharp reflections, and the feeling of pushing toward the apex. Through controlled brushwork and a relatively restrained palette, the painting celebrates the fusion of engineering precision and raw emotion.

This is a statement piece as it is hard to walk into a room and not be drawn to it. The composition has a real presence, and the sense of motion pulls you in, inviting you to feel the energy of the scene.

I started out with a pencil in hand, drawing portraits and learning to capture emotion through subtle lines and shadows. Over time, I found myself wanting more depth, colour, and freedom and that led me to oil painting.

These days, I love working with oil because of how it lets me explore contrast, light, and mood in a way pencil never could. My subjects are always changing. I’m drawn to anything with character, whether it’s a person, an old car, an animal, or even a building.

For me, painting is about looking more closely and finding something interesting in the everyday and bringing it to life with colour and light.
